OVERNIGHT CAMPING ADVENTURES

Geared for 4th – 8th grades

Camp with us and explore the world of insects this summer as we spend 3 days and 2 nights outside under the stars at Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park!

Learn how to attract, identify, and observe the insects around us. Come join the fun as we use insect nets, night lighting, bug vacuums and other research methods to get our hands dirty and have fun in nature.

S Bar S Ecology Trips

Not available through charter schools

Join us as we head into the field for extended research trips. We will spend time observing natural features and applying what we learn to our research projects. Learn to use scientific tools in the field to gather data for a more meaningful understanding of how living organisms relate to their physical surroundings.

We offer several research projects to meet your interest, some options include: bird observation, insect collections, botanical survey, water quality, and geological specimen identification.

We provide for a fully equipped camping experience. All you need to bring are your personal items and a sleeping bag!
